Background: The Palestinian Authority has stepped up depictions of President Bush as a murderer, accompanied by increasing publicity for calls to attack the U.S. Hope is expressed that "the Arab and Islamic world will act against America and Israel" ... because "the United States does not understand the language of logic and wisdom, but only the language of interests and force."

The following are examples of PA calls to attack the US:

"After choosing a new Secretary General for the Front ["Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine", we] must unite ...to break out of the narrow circle of militia ...and to broaden the struggle against the Israeli occupation authorities...and harm American interests in the Arab world, with all possible means, in all places, at all levels, because the United States does not understand the language of logic and wisdom, but only the language of interests and force."

"Abd el Rahim Malu´ah, a member of the political forum of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine...denounced the American support for the government of Israel... "Malu´ah said that Israel could not have assassinated Abu Ali Mustafa or wage other attacks without American support...Saher Habash, a member of the central committee of [Yasser Arafat´s PLO faction] the Fatah... said that the body goes but the spirit of the martyrs lives on. Habash expressed his hope that the Arab and Islamic world will act against America and Israel. Habash described [Israel´s Foreign Minister Shimon] Peres as a ´fox´ spreading Sharon´s, Ben Eliezer´s and Mofaz´ terror propaganda all over the world...Habash demanded to strike and to threaten the American interests in the Arab world...Habash said that he is of the opinion that any attack in areas [that have been Israel´s since] 1948 is legitimate..."
