Hizbullah fired several salvoes of anti-aircraft shells over parts of the Galilee on Wednesday in response to what it said were ongoing violations of Lebanese airspace by IAF warplanes.

Some shrapnel fell on the Israeli side of the border without causing any casualties or serious damage.

The AA firing was not directed at any planes flying over the area at the time but, as usual, was aimed at causing a disturbance in retaliation for the what Hizbullah charged was the nuisance emanating from the alleged overflights. (© 1995-2003, The Jerusalem Post 07/16/03)
