MK Hanin Zouabi (Balad) took part in a panel at the Gordon Educational College in Haifa and lauded the International Olympic Committee´s refusal to hold a moment of silence for the eleven Israeli athletes who were murdered in the 1972 Munich Olympics.

Ron Kerman, whose daughter was murdered by Arab terrorists, told Arutz Sheva that he fails to understand why the college invited Zouabi to speak to begin with.

"Sometimes we lose our bearings, and in the name of freedom of speech, we allow all sorts of people to spew cheap propaganda," he said. "I think it would have been proper for Miss Zouabi to declare that she is ashamed of her countrymen who murdered the athletes."

Kerman said that while he is aware that the college has Arab students as well as Jewish ones, Zouabi´s statements were very harsh and "it appears that her political blindness causes her to lose her mind."

The Gordon College responded by saying that it espouses democracy, in which every person may state his opinion. It noted that the first person interviewed in the panel was the director of the Yesha Council, "whose opinions are also not accepted by all parts of Israeli society."
