Shots fired at bus along Egypt border; no injuries (JERUSALEM POST) By YAAKOV KATZ 07/23/12)Source: http://www.jpost.com/Defense/Article.aspx?id=278458 JERUSALEM POST JERUSALEM POST Articles-Index-TopPublishers-Index-Top
Shots were fired at a bus traveling along the southern border with Egypt Sunday afternoon. The shooting did not cause injuries among the passengers, but the bus did sustain damage.

The bus was transporting soldiers along Road 10, the Philidelphi Route.

Early Sunday morning, a gas pipeline running through the Sinai Peninsula was attacked for the 15th time in 16 months.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks on the installation that crosses the increasingly volatile Sinai Peninsula.

Security in Sinai was relaxed after the fall of Mubarak as the police presence thinned out across Egypt. Kidnappings of foreigners have become common.

Last month, a terrorist cell crossed into Israel from the Sinai and killed one Israeli and wounded another, both contractors working on the construction of the border fence.

Last year, Egyptian terrorists staged a cross-border attack from Sinai on an Israeli bus that left eight Israelis dead. (© 1995-2011, The Jerusalem Post 07/23/12)
