Dozens of residents of Tekoa, in the Etzion Bloc area of Judea (Yehuda), protested Wednesday against the ongoing rock attacks on Jewish motorists that have been taking place on the roads that lead to their community.

The Jews placed rock barriers on the main road that leads to Tukua, the nearby Arab village that preserves the name of the ancient Jewish community of Tekoa, where Amos the Biblical prophet resided.

Karni Eldad, a Tekoa resident, said: "We hope that the army will prevent the rock attacks from continuing, so that we can live here without fear. If the situation continues, we will have to ratchet up the protest." (IsraelNationalNews © 2012 06/13/12)
