The ILSI-Biomed 2012 Conference was held between Monday and Wednesday
of this week in Tel Aviv. Arutz Sheva was there.
The ILSI-Biomed 2012 Conference is the leading international
conference covering the fast-growing field of innovation in the
biomedical, health care and life sciences industries. At the
conference, industry and academia join hands to learn about the
latest and future developments, explore opportunities for new
business ventures, meet up with old colleagues and make new contacts.
According to ILSI-Biomed Co-Chairperson Dr. Benny Ze’evi, “[The
conference] shows the achievements of the Israeli biotech industry.
More than 70 companies are presenting here so many investors can see
them and maybe work with them or collaborate with them.”
As well, noted Ze’evi, top executives are brought in to take part in
the conference to describe the latest development in these fields and
speak of future challenges and opportunities.
He added, “Doctors have to be aware of new developments in this area,
be it medical devices or medication. On the other hand, those that
are developing medical devices have to be sure they are integrated
smoothly into the workflow of the physicians.”
“Devices should be developed in such a way that it should be easier
for the regular physician, not just the expert, to use them,” noted
Dr. Ze’evi.
