A group of 15 young far-right activists arrived at the IDF´s Judea and Samaria Division at Beit El, in the West Bank on Friday. The youths came to protest plans by the IDF to evacuate outposts, and tried to carry out a disturbance, police said.

Nine youths entered the base, and were arrested by IDF guards for trespassing. A Judea and Samaria police unit arrive on the scene, and took the youths to a local police station for questioning.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The incident came just four days before the Ulpana outpost on the outskirts of Beit El was scheduled to be razed, pending a government appeal to the High Court to delay the demolition by 90 days.

In December, right-wing activists broke into the IDF´s Ephraim Brigade headquarters in the West Bank, burning tires, spreading nails on the road and throwing stones at vehicles.

The activists were demonstrating against the evacuation of the Ramat G‎ilad settlement. (© 1995-2011, The Jerusalem Post 04/27/12)
