A Palestinian from the West Bank stabbed and moderately injured a
Kfar Saba taxi driver who was transporting him from the Tel Aviv area
to Kfar Saba in the early morning hours Tuesday.
The stabbing occurred on Ben Yehuda Street in the city.
Magen David Adom paramedics evacuated the driver to Meir Medical
Center in Kfar Saba for further treatment, where he was listed in
moderate condition.
Police, with the help of other taxi drivers, located and detained the
suspect. The suspect confessed to the crime and was arrested, police
said, according to Army Radio.
Law enforcement officials said no further details were available at
the time.
Palestinians have carried out a number of stabbings in recent weeks
and months, which security forces suspect had nationalist
motivations. Most of the incidents took place in the Jerusalem area.
