A Kassam rocket was fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip Sunday afternoon. It landed in an open area in the Negev Regional Council, a southern district near the Gazan border. There were no injures or damage reported.

The code red system that notifies civilians of an incoming rocket with a loud, warning siren was not activated.

The IDF states that it holds Hamas, which has governed Gaza since 2007, responsible for all terror attacks originating in the Strip. (© 2012 THE TIMES OF ISRAEL 04/22/12)
