In yet another attack against Israeli civilians, Arabs threw rocks at two Jewish girls who were walking towards their home in Hevron on Tuesday evening.

One of the girls was slightly injured. After the attack, clashes broke out between local Jews and Arabs. IDF forces stationed in the area broke up the parties.

Benzi Gofstein, a resident of Hevron whose daughter was the one injured in the attack, told Arutz Sheva that he believed the attack was related to the weakness Israel showed by criticizing Lt.-Col. Shalom Eisner, who was suspended by the IDF after hitting a provocative anarchist.

“Arab terrorists understood the message of Bibi and Nitzan Alon,” Gofstein said, adding, “I expect Nitzan Alon to stop groveling to the anarchists and to ensure the security of the Jews.”

Rock and firebomb attacks on Israelis have become an increasingly common phenomenon over the past several months.

Before the Passover holiday, Arab men threw Molotov cocktails at a bus near the Hebrew University campus in French Hill in northern Jerusalem.

The bus sustained damage, but the makeshift bombs failed to break the windows and the dozens of passengers escaped without injury.

Recently, a groom about to get married was wounded in a rock attack as he went to pray at his grandfather´s grave at Jerusalem’s Mount of Olives cemetery.

Police and personnel from the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) recently arrested 19 Jerusalem Arabs with various forms of attacks on Jewish drivers passing through the capital.

All of those arrested were charged with hurling firebombs, firecrackers and rocks at vehicles with Israeli license plates. The suspects are also accused of torching vehicles. (IsraelNationalNews © 2012 04/18/12)
