Defense Minister releases video on Facebook, Youtube urging voters to support Independence Party

The next election is likely to be held a year from now, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in a video calling the public to support the Independence Party under his leadership. The clip was released on Youtube and Facebook on Friday.

"This is the time to take action," he said, "The Independence Party is the natural choice for anyone who cares about the State of Israel. Its leadership has the courage to make decisions, and the power to implement them. Come and join us."

"I am glad that on this evening of Passover that Israel is stronger than ever and successfully overcomes any security and political challenges come its way," he added. "We continue to bolster Israel´s power in order to allow it… to protect its own independence and sovereignty."
