Overview: Mortar shell fire continues to target Israel´s south. This
past week nine rocket hits were identified, including long-range
rockets, and four mortar shell hits.
An anti-Semitic terrorist attack was carried out at a Jewish school
in Toulouse, France. An armed terrorist riding a motorcycle opened
fire, killing a teacher, his two children, and the daughter of the
school principal. High-ranking French politicians strongly condemned
the attack.
Preparations continue in various locations for the March 30
propaganda events. This past week the Asian convoy passed through
Iran on its way to Turkey, and from there to Lebanon. The convoy
members met with the Iranian president and other senior figures, who
praised them and called for an end to the existence of the "Zionist
regime" [i.e., Israel].

Rocket Fire
Despite the lull arrangement, this past week sporadic rocket and
mortar shell fire from the Gaza Strip continued to target Israel´s
south, including long-range rockets, although to a lesser degree than
during the escalation. Since the arrangement went into effect, nine
rockets, including long-range Grad rockets, and four mortar shells
hit Israeli territory. In addition, two rockets were intercepted and
destroyed by the Iron Dome aerial defense system.
-On March 15 four rocket hits were identified in Israeli territory.
Two others were intercepted and destroyed by the Iron Dome. One of
rockets targeted the southern Israeli coastal city of Ashdod and two
were aimed at the city of Beersheba. There were no casualties and no
damage was done.
-On March 16 a rocket hit an open area in the western Negev. There
were no casualties and no damage was done.
-On the morning of March 19 a rocket hit an open area in the western
Negev. There were no casualties but a hothouse suffered extensive
damage.
