Councilor Yael Antebi warns that Pisgat Ze´ev residents will soon
have no choice but to use light rail, at personal risk.
Jerusalem City Councilor Yael Antebi, a resident of Pisgat Zeev,
said Thursday that the knife attack on the light railway did not come
as a surprise.
"The attack today is a very serious thing, she told Arutz Sheva, "but
it was to be expected, unfortunately. It is very a grave matter, that
residents who have no choice but to use public transport have to
suffer this kind of terror. Something like this should not be allowed
to happen in Jerusalem."
"Anyone could see that something like this might happen," added
Antebi – who has indeed warned in the past that a terror attack on
the railway would take place, because of the fact that the line
passes through Shuafat.
Arabs threw rocks at the light rail several months ago as it passed
through Shuafat. No one was hurt in that attack.
