The IsraWineExpo is an international professional exhibition which
provides a meeting place for the wine industry, wine-makers,
importers, investors, buyers, restaurateurs, food and beverage
managers, barmen and sommeliers, decision makers, journalists and
leading wine purchasers from around the world as well as for the
general public of wine lovers.
Arutz Sheva was at the expo, which takes place every two years and is
running until Thursday at the Tel Aviv Exhibition Gardens.
The expo displays a wide range of wines and wineries from Israel and
around the world, with emphasis on Israeli wines. In addition,
equipment and accessories for the wine sector are on display, as well
as a special enclave of gourmet food.
The expo is a great opportunity for people who are not Israeli to
discover the country’s great wines, as Chaim Gan, the CEO of “The
Grape Man” and the expo’s professional director, told Arutz Sheva.
“Our industry went through a revolution, from Manischewitz sweet
wines to dry, classic, good quality wines,” Gan said.
“Today we need some ambassadors of good will,” he added. “We need our
wines to be loved and appreciated by a student in France who would
like to have an Israeli bottle of wine with his blind date.
