response to the horrific loss of life on September
11, 2001, as well as the deadly
terrorist
attacks
that are occurring all too frequently in Israel, Jewish National
Fund, together with the municipality of Jerusalem, has decided to establish
the Living Memorial project in Jerusalem. United Jerusalem is proud
to announce the adoption of a portion of this project The
United Jerusalem Path of Remembrance. |

land for the Park is located at the entrance to Jerusalem encompassing
nearly one square mile. Central to the Park on top of a mountain, a large bronze
sculpture will rise from a crater in the earth. This stunning, thirty-foot
bronze sculpture is being designed by famed Israeli artist E.Weishoff, and
will be mounted on a stone pillar on which the names of each of
the thousands of innocent victims of terrorism will be inscribed, |

...The
Living Memorial will depict both the World Trade Center and the Pentagon
in a combination of sculpture and landscape architecture. Set against
the magnificent backdrop of Jerusalem, this will be a moving
site from which to remember all of the victims of terrorism worldwide,
as well as a reminder to reaffirm our commitment to tolerance, the
unity of mankind and democracy.
